Transportation Planning
What is Transportation Planning?
According to Tyler and Ward's "Planning and Community Development: A Guide for the 21st Century": "Transportation systems are integral to the life of any community because there is a close link between transportation and land use. Planners should assess the needs for roads, parking, public transportation, park-and-ride facilities, bicycle routes or paths, pedestrian walkability, as well as as environmental and aesthetic impacts of the municipality's transportation systems."
