Single-Family Residential
Maintaining single-family homes is a top goal for the city of Los Angeles as it is a desire for people of all incomes. The down side to single-family homes in a densely populated city such as Los Angeles is the space it consumes when high-density housing is needed more and more. For this very reason, Los Angeles has strict zoning regulations to make sure single-family houses is maintained. If properties fall into disrepair, the Framework Element allows for easy amendments to the land use policies so higher density housing can be developed. The goal is to provide the highest quality of life to current and future residents within the abilities of the city’s infrastructure. To aid in providing a high quality of life for its residents, Los Angeles will make sure that when a multi-family dwelling is destroyed, another one is built in its place.
